Active elastography

Project Description

Active elastography is not abandoned. We still pursue researches in many different areas to create shear wave in soft tissues with new approaches. It includes arrays of vibrators for time reversal elastography, electromagnetic approaches for Lorentz force elastography (see figure), laser excitation for optical elastography, bubble sources or simply radiation pressure on clinical surgical pieces. Future applications are foreseen and based on specific advantages offered by each of the present approaches.
