Gilles P. L. Thomas received his engineering degree in general engineering from the École Centrale de Nantes, Nantes, France, in 2014, and his engineering degree in mechatronics engineering and the M.S. degree in control and automation engineering from the Polytechnic School, University of São Paulo, São Paulo, Brazil, in 2014 and 2015, respectively.

His current research interests include nonlinear acoustics, modeling and manufacturing of piezoelectric transducer, finite element optimization applied to acoustics and lithotripsy.
