Magali Perier got her professional degree in biotechnologies in 2004. She worked to Marcel Mérieux Laboratories and Biomérieux after her studies. From 2006 to 2008, she worked in the Inserm units U841, in Créteil. Then she worked at the Centre Léon Bérard in Lyon and in 2010 she joined the research center in Neuroscience of Lyon. She has been recruited by Inserm in 2011. She works since July 2017 at the LabTAU, Inserm U1032.

The aim of her research is to understand neurostimulation by ultrasound from cell to brain and she supports researchers designing biological studies.
