Dr Albert Gelet graduated from School of Medicine in Lyon in 1974, received certificates of general surgery in 1978 and surgery in urology in 1979. Between 1981 and 2011, he was Consultant Urologist in the Urology and Transplantation Department,Edouard Herriot hospital, Hospices Civils de Lyon. Since 1989, he performed his experimental and clinical research at LabTAU on the use of HIFU for treating prostate cancer.
