Marion Cortet is a gynaecological surgeon specialised in breast cancer surgery.
She completed an MD-PhD program at the INSERM Liliane Bettencourt School. She obtained her MD in 2014 and her PhD in Science in 2015, in the field of Biostatistics.
She started her medical and scientific studies in Dijon, then completed her internship and her science thesis in Lyon, at the UMR CNRS 5558, Laboratoire de Biométrie et Biologie Evolutive.
Her clinical activity has been oriented towards breast cancer management, in particular following her 2-year assistant position at the Comprehensive Cancer center in Dijon, with Pr Charles Coutant. She is currently working as an assistant professor at the Faculty of Medicine of Lyon Est, where she is involved in the development of medical education. She is also deputy head of department of the Gynaecology-Obstetrics Department of the Croix Rousse Hospital, at the Hospices Civils de Lyon.
She joined the labTAU to develop the issue of focused ultrasound in association with immunotherapy in the treatment of breast cancer.
