After a university degree in physiology in Metz and Lyon, she obtained a DEA in Neuroscience at the Lyon 1 university (1998). From 1998 to 2001, she worked on a reporter gene imaging development project at the Hospices Civils de Lyon.

Sabrina Chesnais was recruited by the French Institute of Health and Medical Research (INSERM) in 2001 as a study engineer. She is responsible for the laboratory of biology and collaborates with researchers on their projects.

Since 2005, she has been located at the Institute of Experimental Surgery (ICE) at the Leon Berard Center. She is now a research engineer in the LabTAU (Laboratory of Therapeutic Applications of Ultrasound of INSERM) and in charge of designing and carrying out preclinical studies.

Other missions :

Since 2003, she has been the health and safety Coordinator of the unit, in this regard she advices to the director for the implementation of the actions of prevention.

More recently she has been supporting the current quality management manager.

She is a member of the Ethics Committee of the Institute of Experimental Surgery. She is also a member of the animal welfare structure of the Lyon Est conventional and SPF animal facility.
