Elodie Cao graduated from Polytech Lyon school with a biomedical engineering degree in 2018. She earned simultaneously a master’s degree in Medical Imaging, Signals and Systems from Claude Bernard University Lyon 1.

After her end-of-study internship at the LabTAU, she has started her PhD study in keeping with her research on the development of a transesophageal HIFU probe to treat cardiac arrhythmias. She works on mathematical modeling and simulation of acoustic pressure field and associated temperature rise during HIFU treatments. She also develops a new transesophageal HIFU probe with the aim to treat ventricular tachycardia.
