After completion of a Bachelor degree in Acoustics at Le Mans University, Tom Aubier received a M.Sc. degree in Acoustics from the École Centrale de Lyon in 2021. His educational pathway included a project at the Czech Academy of Science as well as a first internship at LabTAU that reinforced his interest in the medical application of ultrasound.
He joined LabTAU in 2021 to conduct his master thesis on the study of low energy focused ultrasound stimulation on in-vitro Human neural cells and is currently pursuing a PhD on the same topic. Since the beginning of May 2022, he is working at the University of Calgary as a visiting student researcher to pursue the development of a neurostimulation transducer dedicated to in-vitro experiments.
